Getting to Campus

Please note that classes in the English Language Center take place at Georgetown University's downtown campus (640 Massachusetts Ave, NW), not at Georgetown's main campus (3700 O St, NW).

Below are the three airports in the Washington, D.C., area, as well as transportation options to reach them.

  1. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is a domestic airport with connecting flights from many U.S. cities. It is located just a few miles from the center of Washington, D.C.
    • Metro (Blue and Yellow lines) The Metro station at DCA brings you into Washington and/or Northern Virginia.
    • Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, taxi)
  2. Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in Virginia, about 25 miles from the center of Washington D.C.
    • Metro station (Silver line) You can take the Washington Flyer shuttle from IAD airport to the Whiele-Reston Metro station. The Silver line will take you through Virginia and into Washington, D.C.
    • Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, taxi)
  3. Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is located in Maryland, about 45 miles from the center of Washington, D.C.
    • Train (MARC/Amtrak): You can take the MARC train Penn Line from BWI airport to Union Station in Washington, D.C. There are several stops in Maryland between BWI and Washington, D.C.
    • Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, taxi)
