Partnerships with Educational Agents
The English Language Center welcomes new applications from educational agents interested in partnering with our center. If you are interested in becoming a representative, please review the procedure outlined below:
-
Submit Request: Complete and submit the Georgetown University English Language Center: Partnership Request Form.
-
Initial Review: Our staff will review your submission and any accompanying materials. If we are looking to establish representation in your region and find a strong alignment between your agency and our Center, we will reach out to your provided references and arrange a virtual meeting. The English Language Center typically does not enter agreements with agencies lacking prior experience with university-based English language programs in the U.S. However, exceptions may be made if your agency has successfully placed students with the ELC who have reported positive experiences.
-
Complete the Agent Application and Agreement of Representation: Following a successful virtual meeting and reference checks, you will complete our Agent Application. Upon receiving a completed application and favorable feedback from references, the English Language Center will issue an Agreement of Representation to last the duration of one year. This Agreement of Representation must be completed by all parties before a partnership may begin. If the partnership proves mutually beneficial during the initial year, we will offer an extension of the Agreement of Representation.
The English Language Center does not collaborate with agencies on a commission basis without a signed Agreement of Representation. This agreement permits agents to represent the English Language Center exclusively and does not grant authorization to represent any other school or program at Georgetown University.
-
Receive Training: Once we have received the signed Agreement of Representation, our staff will schedule a training session for your representative(s). This training will cover our program options, application and enrollment procedures, new student orientation information, and program policies. We welcome your questions about representing the English Language Center and will seek your insights to enhance our collaboration and better serve your market.
