Weather in Washington, D.C., varies throughout the year.

Fall Session I (August–October)

Warm and humid; becoming cooler
21˚C to 38˚C (70˚F to 85˚F)

Fall Session II (October–December)

Changing seasons; cooler temperatures
16˚C to 21˚C (60˚F to 70˚F)

Spring Session I (January–March)

Cold; occasional snow
-10˚C to 10˚C (15˚F to 50˚F)

Spring Session II (March–May)

Changing seasons; rain and warmer temperatures
16˚C to 21˚C (60˚F to 70˚F)

Summer Session (May–August)

Hot and humid
29˚C to 38˚C (85˚F to 100˚F)

Bring suitable clothing for the temperatures mentioned above, including a coat and boots if you are here during the Fall II and Spring I semesters. The months of November through March can be cold enough to have ice and snow.
