To make applying as simple and straightforward as possible, we've put together a checklist of everything you need. If you have any questions along the way, please contact guELC@georgetown.edu.

Deadlines and Program Dates

Fall 2024 Session

  • Application Deadline: August 30, 2024
  • Classes begin: September 11, 12 and 14
  • Classes end: November 9, 12 and 13

Spring 2025 Session

  • Application Deadline: January 17, 2025
  • Classes begin: January 29, 30, and February 1
  • Classes end: March 29, April 1, and 9

Summer 2025 Session

  • Application Deadline: May 1, 2025
  • Classes begin: May 14, 15 and 17
  • Classes end: July 10, 12 and 14

Fall 2025 Session

  • Application Deadline: August 29, 2025
  • Classes begin: September 10, 11 and 13
  • Classes end: November 8, 11 and 12

Language Proficiency Testing

After you submit your application, our enrollment management team will send you information via email for the language proficiency test. Testing takes place virtually prior to class start dates. Faculty from the English Language Center will carefully review your results and place you in the best course level to fit your skill level.
